Πτυχίο Μεταφραστή

Στα πλαίσια των απαιτήσεων για την απόκτηση του Πτυχίου Μεταφραστή ο Υπενωμορτάρχης των Ναυτίλων Μίκης Σαββόπουλος μετάφρασε το κείμενο που αναρτήθηκε για το Διήμερο της Ομάδας στα Λεύκαρα στα Αγγλικά.

On the 14th and 15th of November we had a two-day trip to the village of Lefkara. We all gathered at the scout hut at 2:30pm. At 3 o’clock we set out for Lefkara. At about 4 o’clock we arrived at the primary school of Lefkara. We took our luggage from the bus and carried them to the place where we were going to sleep at night and then we gathered outside to play a game. In this game we had to go into the village of Lefkara and ask the inhabitants some questions we gave them. At 5:30pm we had to be back at the school because it was getting darker. When we got back to the primary school we handed in the answers to our questions and then some scouts played football and others played volley. At about 7:30pm we ate pastichio for dinner. You could say that it was pretty good! Furthermore, after dinner we all gathered and we played another game called “Are you smarter than a patrol leader?” This game was real fun! The questions were in categories: 1st star, 2nd star, Amateur Scout, Beginner Scout, Copper Trefoil, Silver Trefoil, Golden Trefoil and Sea scout contents. When the game ended we saw the movie UP! It was very nice! It had to do with a scout and it gave us some messages that we should always have in mind and that we should have faith in ourselves. Meanwhile this new day brought one more year of experience to one of our scouts, Julia! We all sang “happy birthday” to her and she blew out a candle. After the movie finished, our scout leader told us a story that was based on the movie that we had just seen. After a while everyone went to sleep except the “Council of honor”. After the gathering of the “council” we all went to sleep. The next day we woke up and we fixed all our belongings and we had breakfast, cereals with milk or juice with biscuits. When we finished, each patrol had undertaken to clean an area. When we finished cleaning, we set out for a hike to the village of Kato Drys. When we reached there we visited the museum and immediately after that the bus came to take us back to Larnaka. We reached Larnaka at 12:30pm.
